Ten years ago, we drove past the then run-down Orewa Motel & were instantly challenged to restore it to its former glory. Geoff resigned from his position as CEO of a commercial plumbing/air-conditioning business and we moved to Orewa with our daughters to start the transformation.

As we traded through the ongoing renovation and met guests from so many walks of life, we realised that it wasn’t enough to just build good rooms. We decided to create micro-environments where people had a unique experience that was an absolute standout.

We have individually styled every room so that it not only feels like a genuine home-away-from-home, but also gives a treat of luxury that’s the icing on the top for every one’s beach holiday. 

Donnamarie relentlessly hunted across the country to secure amazing fixtures/ fittings. Together we have created romantic getaway rooms, luxurious apartments, and spacious family units to cater for all needs. We are proud to be constantly recognised for exceptionally clean and beautifully appointed rooms with excellent customer service.
